The minimum requirements for a server to run KBTree is as follows:

Pentium 5 or AMD athalon / XP (1ghz or higher)
512MB RAM
500MB free hard disk space

Software
Operating system:
Windows NT / 2000 / XP, Linux, Unix, FreeBSD, Macintosh

Web server:
IIS 5.0 or above, apache and most others

Source Guardian Script Loader is required to load the PHP scripts.

Other Required software:
MysQL 4.0 or above, PHP 4.0 or above, GD2 Image Library, ImageMagick (for image uploading)

The minimum requirements for users, authors and administrator features are as follows:

Software PC Requirements
Internet Explorer 5.0 and above recommended. Firefox 1.0.4 and above.

Macintosh Requirements
Firefox is the only browser supported on the Macintosh.
Safari support will be coming in the future.

All data is stored in a MySQL Database.

It supports large databases. MySQL handles databases up to 50 million rows or more. default file size limit for a table is 4GB,but you can increase this (if your operating system can handle it) to a theoretical limit of 8 terabytes (TB).
